St John and St Stephen’s Contact Centre.
Welcome to St John & St Stephen’s Contact Centre
St John & St Stephen’s Contact Centre, in East Reading, provides the facility for a Contact Centre, serving the local and wider community.
The Centre is a safe, friendly and impartial place where children can meet with their parent (or other family members) with whom they no longer live with following their parents’ relationship breakdown.
We are open on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. This Centre offers supported contact and provides toys and games that help children affected by family breakdown to enjoy and benefit from the contact time.
Contact Centres may provide differing levels of support during contact. We offer ‘supported’ contact only, not ‘supervised’. This means that family contacts are monitored on a group basis and not with one-to-one supervision.
Families can use our Centre also as a hand over point. The Centre is staffed entirely by volunteers and its running costs are met through donations and CAFCASS grants. There is no charge to parents for using the Centre.
